A friend of mine told me that I should not use baby powder because she used it on her daughter and it gave her daughter baby warts. I have used it ever since my child was born and had no problems. I was wondering if I should continue using it as it was her child’s doctor that told her that her baby was getting warts because of the baby powder.
Is it ok to use?
My daughter is 4 months old and I have never used baby powder. We took some classes and were told it could be harmful if the baby inhales it. People tend to “sprinkle” it from a distance and it can find it’s way to their little noses. If you just HAVE to use it put it on your hands then apply it on the baby. Excessive baby powder might cause dryness or a maybe a rash, but I don’t think it will cause warts. Good luck!
